Step-by-Step Guide to Getting Started with QuickBooks Billing Solutions


Combine the QuickBooks Billing Solutions Service with the QuickBooks Merchant Service to let your customers pay you online. In addition to making credit card payments, your customers will be able to view all their invoice and payment history online.

Sign up now for a Billing Solutions trial

Simply follow the steps below to get started in QuickBooks.

Step 1. Sign up for the Billing Solutions Trial in QuickBooks

  1. From the Customers Menu, select Billing Solutions and Sign up Online.

Step 2: Enable Invoices for Online Payment

  1. From the invoice screen in QuickBooks, check the Allow online payment checkbox

  2. Whether you print or e-mail this invoice it will be available online for your customer to view and pay it. To print, click Print on the toolbar. To e-mail, click Send on the toolbar.

Step 2. Download online Payments into QuickBooks

  1. You will receive an e-mail to let you know when a customer has made a payment online with a credit card.
  2. To download the payment into QuickBooks, go the Customers Menu and select Receive Payments.
  3. Click on the button Get Online Pmts. Choose to download the QuickBooks Billing Solutions payments.

You're done! The payments have been downloaded into QuickBooks and matched to the appropriate invoice. A report is launched in QuickBooks to show you the payments that were downloaded.
